Photo Explorer will automatically detect your cameras and memory cards, allowing you to download and save your media with no effort. You can also add photos from your scanner or seach for images on the Web.
Organize your photos, audio and video clips in albums. Add metadata to your media files – descriptions, ratings, distinctive filenames may help you search and find your digital media. The Album Calendar View will allow you to select a date and browse through all the photos and video stored on that particular day. You can also sort them in any order your prefer. Work with zip files as you do with any normal folder, without using an external zip utility. The Instant Viewer will open all the pictures in your active album and will show them to you in full detail. If you need to change anything, you can either select the auto-fix functions or use its powerful editor. Get rid of the red-eye effect, and enhance your images by adjusting brightness, contrast, hue and saturation to your preferred settings. You can also rotate it without losing quality, or you can crop unwanted parts of the image. Finally, you can create tone effects, apply different special effects, add text and sound (supports both WAV and MP3 files), or record your own sound annotation.
Ulead Photo Explorer 8.5 includes also editing functionality for your video clips. It will let you trim your videos to remove those parts you are not interested in. It will also convert your original videos to formats more suitable for e-mail distribution. AVI, QVT, MPEG1 or MPEG2 are some of the formats supported.
